We are having a lazy day.  We're out of milk, so the boys got to have fruit snacks and chips for breakfast, which is apparently a very pleasing way to start the day. Isabella is still nursing, so no problem there.  Daddy's bringing milk home later, but work is complicated today so it's going to be water and juice for a few more hours. The living room seems to get trashed every single day.  It just doesn't stay picked up and clean.  There are always crumbs to be vacuumed...

I tried and tried last night to post a slideshow, but for some reason I can no longer figure out how to do that.  Instead, here are some stationary pics.    There are a lot...sorry!     Making Martians! She LOVES Gwen Stefani!  Enraptured, haha! The boys playing at Pa & Gran-Gran's house: Adrian with his parents at his sister's wedding. Grandpa and Izzy: One day of our trip to the panhandle, Adri...

I have a lot of pics to share from our recent trip to visit family in the Texas panhandle, but I'm too tired to re-size them all at this moment.  So this is what you get for now:     The bug is a bee, in case anyone can't tell, haha.

Somehow Mother's Day becomes Mother's Day weekend. The boys came home from school Friday begging to give me the gifts they had made.  Xavier had 3, and gave me a flower he had planted in a paper cup, but I convinced him to save the rest for the big day.  I still have some wonderful cards and creations they've made for me for Mother's Day throughout the years.  We had a BIG trip to Wal-Mart today.  Stimulus Package and all that.  I figured it would be busy becau...

The boys saw a snake on their way home from school so we went back to look at him and take pictures for a project Xavier is working on.    The boys told me it was a "garden snake", but I don't know anything about snakes, so I had no idea what it was.  We looked up snakes indigenous to Texas but didn't see anything that looked like our snake.  After more searching, we *think* he is an Opheodrys aestivalis (not sure about common name).  Here are the pics of Mr. ...

This is really late, but I wanted to say THANK YOU to Donna (Forever Serenity) for the sweet, generous gifts she sent to my family.  It was so thoughtful, and the gifts were perfect!! The boys LOVED the Science Experiment Kit.  They immediately started picked experiments out of the book to try.  Haha, see  how HAPPY Orian is?  LOL.  And Xavier was actually smiling!  What a treat! They also loved the Secret History of Dragons book!  T...

Our house is NOT baby-proofed.  It's something in between a no-no every 5 minutes, and padded corners and toilet locks.  I don't think it's fair for a baby to hear no-no about everything all day long, but I also think it's important for them to learn that there are some things we don't mess with. Unfortunately, our bedroom is no-no-ville.  I haven't gotten it set up yet.  You see, in order to put everything away, I need Adrian to put together the bookcase.  In order f...

Once upon a time, there was a crocodile named Crocky.  You see, Crocky was no ordinary crocodile... He was slightly retarded.  This guy named Earl, who was a Forest Ranger, wanted Crocky. Crocky loved to drink Crocky Juice, and the only way to make it was with Crock Berries, which he found in the swamp.  I know, I said Earl was a Forest Ranger, but he was also a Bounty Hunter.  He has very little teeth and a huge beard.  And one day he almost Crocky. But before I t...

I have mentioned on here a few times that I have been going through things that we don't need anymore (I tend to hold onto everything that crosses my path, so there is a fair amount of stuff!) and selling them bit by bit.  This has worked out fabulously for me because each week my garage is a little less crowded, and each week we have a little money to spread around.  The goal is to get the garage empty except for holiday/sentimental or necessary items, the laundry items (W&D,...

Just some pics from today (and yeah, the house is messy; it almost always is):   Daddy was helping her dance (not that she NEEDS any help!  She is a dancing machine!): Orian after a hard day at school: Xavier and Izzy bonding after school(she loves that boy!):

We took the boys to see Iron Man at the PX today.  We got there at least 30 minutes early but the line was already long and reached all the way through the food court and out the door.  Iron Man was about 30 minutes late, so we were standing outside for close to an hour.  My boobies got sunburned and Isabella had a fun time trying to escape, haha.    Once we got inside the line moved pretty quickly, but after only 20 minutes of meet and greet Iron Man took a 30 min...

I was thisclose to an Acute Care Clinic visit today. It all started with the inkling for egg salad sandwiches.  I looked up a recipe online, and it sounded good to me.  Adrian had never had it, and it sounded good to him too. I boiled some eggs and let them cool.  As I began to peel the first one I noticed the inside still seemed gooey and runny.  Not good.  I am not particularly skilled with boiling eggs, which seems like it should be one of the easiest cooking ...

Petition:   As we all know, JU is the red-headed step-child (sorry ParaTed!) of Stardock.  It is a money-hungry bastard child that exists on the goodwill of the site owner.   As we also all know, if a JU article is accidentally cross-posted to WC, the hapless JUer is accosted by angry/annoyed WCers.  JUers generally take great pains to avoid accidentally posting an article to WC because the backlash is so notorious.   However, with the new and improved ...

Many "candidates" have listed lame qualifications and attempted to promote themselves the only reasonable choice, but I have found them all lacking. Instead of backing someone from Not-America or someone who takes his name from PANTIES, America should get behind a candidate with the background and leadership abilities necessary to navigate American policy and security in these dangerous times. My toddler, Isabella, is just such a candidate.  She has a tireless work ethic, and r...
