Wow great going there Tex!
Congrats on healthy eating AND cutting back on the soda pop!
Maybe you'd be willing to start a "low-calorie" recipe once a day with
your food journal?
Nothing too fancy, how about it?

I was thinking that too, Trudy... that we could have a recipe forum or something.
I've never counted calories before... just carbs and now points with WW. Let me see if I can figure it out... Here's mine for yesterday.
1 light english muffin - 90
2 tbsp smuckers all fruit preserves - 80
Coffee - cream and splenda - 180 - (this is my downfall... love cream in my coffee)
1 medium sized red potato - 120
1 naval orange - 70
1 Qsmart bar (chocolate peanutbutter) - 120
6 oz lean "country fried" cube steak - 330
1/2 cup of canned peas - 60
1 cup instant mashed potato - 160
WW icecream bar - 110
12 oz Diet Sierra Mist - 0
5 glasses of water
Grand Total of 1260... dang. That was hard. Do y'all care if I keep track of the points instead (got them all in a spreadsheet that figures it out for me) and then post that? I'm supposed to have 27 per day, unless I exercise, in which case I'm allowed a couple more.
WTG, Tex... you did GREAT!

Aw, thank you, sweetie!

Another great idea...we could all share the recipes that we love that help us stay on track. Thanks!

No, no, whatever works for you is great. Posting your points will work fine.

Hahaha, no need to try to convert it all...I think most of us are familiar with the points anyway, and we can support you regardless. Looks like you did GREAT! Very healthy, too. Good job, HC!

Thanks. I could eat better, but I did cut back some on the caffeine.

Tex, unless you're doing something funky with that coffee, it shouldn't be zero calories. Might only be 3 or 4, though.

I'm not sure exactly how it works...SPC does...but the first thing you have to do is click on the "join this blog group" thing. Hopefully that will get you going in the right direction.

I generally don't count stuff that's that low. I realize it adds up, but not so much that it's going to make a difference. If I have a squirt of mustard on my sandwich, I don't count that.
Thanks for reading and watching out for me, though.
I appreciate it.
