Diet
A big mahalo to alison for her suggestion that we form a blog group for dieting moral support.
The purpose of the blog group is to lend support, encouragement, tips, and accountability to fellow JoeUsers who are working on losing a few (or a buncha) pounds. Anything weight loss or diet related is welcomed.
Some ideas for things to post are meal plans, food journals, exercise logs, motivational/encouragement blogs, and dieting rants. This blog site is open for anything and everything (on the general topic of weight loss or maintenance) that you think will help yourself or others.
I intend to post my daily food journal to this site, and I welcome any encouragement, questions, or constructive criticism (please refrain from posting disparaging comments).
I hope this will be a helpful way for we JU dieters to establish a virtual support group to share experiences, successes and struggles.
Women-who-deny-themselves-the-stuff-they-really-really-want-to-eat unite!

Haha. I tried Atkins a few years ago. I don't really eat meat, so it was pretty rough. And it made me sick. Ugh.
I felt great doing it (and I love meat.. hehe...). I had more energy, my allergies improved, and I slept better at night. HOWEVER... I love my bread, potatoes and pasta. It eventually got to me. The thing I love about WW is that I can really eat anything I want, I just have to make sure that I make adjustments in other areas to make up for it.
Wow, what a difference! You look fabulous! And apologies, but...you have a terrific bum! Haha.
LOL... np and thanks. I think it's much too large.
When I was in my 20's I took pride in it, though. There wasn't so MUCH of it!

Count me in too...I hope that is o.k. seeing that I don't know all of you that well, but hopefully that will change and I can get to know you all better and lose some pounds too. I clicked on join the blog group. I don't know what that meant, but woo hoo. '
P.S. I was looking for that other article, " Fat Club....something ..something...something...

Beyond the obvious nutritional issues with limiting ourselves ala Atkins, I don't think, for most people, it's something that can be kept up long term.

Hehe.

Awesome! I'm so glad you're going to participate.

It doesn't show up in the forums because I marked it "adult content" (I didn't want anyone but registered users to be able to see it). You can get to it by clicking the dietclub link at the top of this article (you'll have to scroll down just a bit when you get there).

Great idea you guys. I saw Alison's blog before and never got around to responding. I've been so lazy lately on my fitness goals. This might just be what I need to get up and start moving again! I'll give it another try, even though I'm just not into it at the moment. It's a yucky day for me and I'm totally spatz today!

Oh I have a wellness blog that I started earlier this year and usually write my fitness stuff, meal ideas, I'll link it to this one. If that's ok?

Hehe. I don't feel "right" where my body's at right now. I know I could feel better. Other than that, I'm with ya on the "fat and happy"!

I'll try. Perhaps if I provide burnt offerings of donuts the gods of dieting will see fit to grant your request!

Hi, I am Michele, Gimpyone, Elie (mod. mans) friend. I would love to join this group. I am a life time member of WW, loev that program, works if you work the program. I am off of it right now but planned on starting back up this week, so this will give me the incentive, I cannot get out to meetings weekely due to health, but this would hold me accountable as well.
I love sharing recipes and ideas on weight loss, this sounds like loads of fun.
Thank you muchly for setting this up.

I am also a WW Lifetime Member. I spent 3 or 4 years leading WW meetings. I think it's a great problem. Very healthy and flexible.

I look forward to your contributions and would be glad to help and support you anyway I can...and I'm sure all the other folks here will as well!
