Pics from last summer

My parents emailed me some pics from last summer that they just got developed, and I thought I would share them with JU.

The first pic is of the two of my boys up against a painting of Adrian's shadow that is on the wall on the landing of the stairs. Before Adrian deployed, I traced him on the wall kind of as a way to keep the boys thinking about him. It also serves as something to measure them against. After he had been gone for a few weeks, I decided to paint the outline in and turn it into a shadow. This pic was taken in July.

The next pic is of Orian being measured up against his daddy's shadow.

And here's Xavier.

Finally, here's a pic of me that one of my parents took while they were here. It's funny to me because my hair looks so dark and my skin looks so pale compared to now, and that was summer and this is winter.

And where do you measure up to the shadow?

We do a similar thing at my house, except instead of a shadow it's a piece of wall that everyone is marked on.

And where do you measure up to the shadow?

Hehe...I haven't measured myself on there, but I go right up to the middle of his chest.

We do a similar thing at my house, except instead of a shadow it's a piece of wall that everyone is marked on.

Cool...I think it's neat to get to look back on it and see how much the kids have grown.

I love the shadow idea, there is something a bit eerie and surreal about it I like. Nice pics.
