Well, today is the day that the boys and I leave for Texas. We have nice, non-stop flight so it should go fairly smoothly. I still haven't packed yet, and I still haven't gone to the store to get the little one some pants (he has outgrown all his pants and only wears shorts now), so I am going to be frantic trying to get all the things done that I need to complete (and yet I am taking the time to sit and write this blog. It makes a lot of sense, doesn't it?).

I'm not really into flying, so I will be glad to get this over with. The boys seem to like it, though. And if they don't, there's always benadryl. (ha ha ha I'm not kidding)

We'll be leaving this afternoon, and I'll check in to let you guys know that we got there safely.

Gideon:
A belated "See Ya!" (Hope you brought a camera so you can take a pic of my pimped up ride for JU)!

No problem. I got your back. See you soon.

Danny: Thanks. You, too.

Myrrander:
Merry Christmas, Brandie -- you and your boys, too!

Thanks abunch. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Talk at me when you get back!

I will.

Dusk:
Merry Christmas, Texas. Have a safe trip.

Merry Christmas to you, too. Thanks.

SPC:
Have a good flight, and take something warm, it's really freakin' cold in the mornings here right now.

He he he . . . we pretty much don't have winter clothes anymore. And it feels very cold to me! Yikes! Am I becoming less of a Texan?

Give us a holler every once in a while.

Of course!

Raven:
Have a good journey, Texas.

Thank you for the well wishes. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

scatter:
(Do I drop the Wahine now?)

Naww . . . I am Wahine at heart no matter what.

Have safe and restful flight!

Thanks.

kingbee:
my advice is NEVER drop a wahine

He he he . . . I agree . . . although I've seen quite a few wahines that you probably ought not pick up in the first place!

travel safely and hasslefree mz w. enjoy your family and the holidays.

Thank you . . . although if I ever go anywhere hasslefree I think I will alert the media. Hope you have a terrific Christmas.

(based on my experience, it's not a good idea to travel wearing your xmas pageant shepherd or joseph costume; the few minutes you save not having to change upon arrival wont offset the hours youll spend in some lop's office explaining the sandals, robe and beard to the tsa.)

Very nice.

50' waves on the north shore? your plane outta there may be just about empty

I actually saw quite a few surfboards and tanned surfer dudes when I was checking my bags in. I wish I had taken the boys out to North Shore to see the waves. Maybe they'll still be big when I get back.

TheFazz:
Merry Christmas, and good luck in Texas.

Thanks. Merry Christmas to you, too!

shovel:
What's that old tune? Amarillo by mornin'...

Now I've got it stuck in my head . . . ha ha ha

Good luck & Merry Christmas

Thanks. Have a wonderful Christmas.

heather: *hugs* See you soon.

islandgurl:
Enjoy your trip back home, you deserve to have the merriest Christmas of all

Thank you so much. What a kind thing to say! I am wishing you a very merry Christmas as well.

steven:

He he he . . . or drive me even more insane. Seriously, I am glad that the children and I will be with family during the holidays. Thanks.

Happy Xmas

Okay, color me stupid or whatever, but I don't quite get what's going on with you Tex. I read the article about something being over. Is it your marriage? I've been so out of touch lately that I must have missed something.

Merry Christmas and have fun in Texas. Happy New Year.

Lovvens,

You're not stupid, *grins*. I'm not entirely sure myself, but I had a feeling it was her marriage too. Texas, if it's alright with you, do you mind clearing this up for us?

Hey TW, hope you had a fine trip and are having a much warmer time of it than we are in Minnesota. (It's +10 or so right now, but wind chill is down to the -30s....)
