When you delete an article you worked on?
Published on August 6, 2008 By Texas Wahine In Blogging

Oh wow.  I had an entire article written out and then accidentally deleted it.  That sucks.

Instead of trying to write it all out again, I'm going to go with bullets, LOL.

  • School starts in less than 3 weeks.
  • Xavier will be in Gifted and Talented (TAG) this year, and I think he will enjoy how hands-on and self-directed it is.
  • He bought Spore Creature Creator with his allowance, and he is hooked.
  • Orian likes whatever Xavier likes, much to Xavier's frustration.
  • Isabella is talking a lot now.  "YAY!" is her exclamation when anything pleases her.  Anytime you do anything for her, she always replies with a chipper "Thanks!"
  • She also enjoys saying "ewwww" to anything and everything.  Especially when someone farts.  "Ewwww!"
  • Orian's two front teeth still aren't in.  I know what he's going to be asking for for Christmas.
  • On the other hand, Isabella seems to get a new tooth every single day.
  • I had my first prenatal appointment and everything went well.
  • I have my ultrasound on the 2nd of September.
  • I think this baby is a boy, but I'm hoping for a girl.  Either way will be great and perfect, but I already have girl stuff, LOL, and it would be fun for Isabella to have a sister to play with.
  • My morning sickness is almost gone but now I have a horrible bladder infection.  I never have bad pregnancy problems.  I'm just a magnet for the smaller, more annoying complaints.
  • I think I wrote about a lot of other stuff but I can't remember what I wrote and I'm too mad at myself for accidentally deleting it to try to remember.

And some pictures:

Some of you have asked what my avatar is, so here she is in all her glory...a mermaid nursing a merbaby.

Isabella being...how do you spell onery?  Is there an h in there?

With big brother Orian.

In her super stylish outfit.

Being a cutie.

We finally got a new entertainment center.  The old one was way too big and bulky and cluttered for the space.  Next on the list is wireless speakers and some ties to bundle up the wires down below.

The boys inherited the old one, minus the backing.

I love seeing your pictures. Sorry I'm so lousy about posting any of mine. I think Izzy and Ashley would be fast friends. Ashley likes to say "ewww!" to everything also.

Ashley turned 2 yesterday! I just can't believe how fast the time has gone by! Aren't girls fun?!

Your house looks great and Izzy is beautiful. Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Love the pics.

I knew that icon was a nursing woman but it seemed like more....hahah...now I know..MERMAID...hello!

Izzy is getting so big.  I can't believe she is already talking.

The entertainment center is very nice.  I love the LCD/plasma tvs.  The places to put them, the furniture to place them on and over is practically limitless.

Thanks Jill.

I just now noticed that most of my pictures are taken from the vantage point of the couch, LOL. That is cracking me up!

I love that Ashley says "ewww" too! Must be a girl thing! Can you imagine all the trouble they could cause together?

Last night Isabella was in our bedroom and Adrian was in the master bathroom. I figured he had an eye on her. She came in to me going "ow" and holding her wrist. It was dark, and I touched her head and it felt weird. I turned on the light, and she was COVERED, COVERED in chocolate. Haha. He had brought home some candy for the kids earlier and she was eating her M&Ms, apparently unsupervised.

She had just had her bath, so I wiped her down with wipes and scrubbed her hair. Then Adrian poked his head out of the bedroom and said, "You need to come look at this."

Hahahahahaha.

The bathroom door was completely smeared with chocolate, there were chocolate streaks and drops all over the floor near the door and crushed M&Ms in the carpet.

All I could do was laugh.

I am pretty good at getting stuff out of carpet (windex - or ammonia - and hydrogen peroxide will take pretty much anything out of carpet, just make sure it's colorfast), so I was able to clean it all out pretty quickly and of course cleaning the door was no big deal, but I was amazed at how much havoc she had created in such a short period of time, LOL.

I wish I had taken a before picture, but I didn't want to let it sit!

I can't believe Ashley is already two!! The time is just flying! Did she have a party?

Thanks for the well wishes!

Tova: Thanks!

Some of my girlfriends got together in San Francisco and I wasn't able to go with them. They happened upon that statue and they said it made them think of me, LOL, so they snapped a pic for me.

I think she is talking way earlier than the boys. Xavier talked by a year or so but not as much. Orian grunted for the first two years of his life. Haha. I think it might be a girl thing!

Thanks for the comment about the entertainment center. It was really hard to find something that fit our criteria. So many things now have huge glass panels. This has glass but I think it's less likely to be broken. The sales guy said it was tempered glass although I don't know if I believe that.

We were looking at some others at a different store and one in particular had huge plates of glass. I asked the sales lady about their potential for being broken, and she said, "Oh, don't worry. We offer warranty plans that would completely cover the cost of replacing the glass if it gets broken"!!!

LOL, I don't care about the glass, I care about little fingers! Got a warranty plan for that?

I don't think she had any kids!

We are really enjoying our TV. Adrian got it as a "welcome home" gift to himself when he got back from Iraq, and honestly, we use it every single day, so it's worth it. I like the look of it and how light it is. It also has a swivel which is nice.

The people who lived in this house before us had a mounted TV (can tell by the stuff in the wall, LOL) but on the wall opposite of where the cable comes out. Weird. I wonder how they managed that?

I've been amazed by that with my children on many occasions. I'm also amazed at their ability to get bath water and bubbles to fully saturate a bathroom in no time flat.

Ashley once had a bowl of oatmeal, I turned for a second, heard the clank of the bowl hitting the floor and simply couldn't believe the coverage she got with that oatmeal!

I can't believe Ashley is already two!! The time is just flying! Did she have a party?

Her party is Saturday since we got back from vacation on Tuesday. I don't know if I'm ready or not but the party will happen none the less.

I'll be sure to post pictures ( or have Brad post them).

Great pictures, Tex.  I really like the mermaid fountain.  Isabella is more gorgeous every day.  It sounds like there is never a dull moment with her around.  Thanks for sharing again.
