I just checked a friend's MySpace; she had added a couple new pics of her kids.  One was of her little ones at Kole Kole pass with the Koolau mountains behind them.

The second was taken at a luau.  The kids were smiling and posing beside a hula girl and a big Hawaiian guy.

I miss Hawaii.  It hurts being so far away from such beauty.  I didn't expect to feel this way.

I got some pictures from my mom about Tiger Woods' house which is in Hawaii. It is so beautfiul there. I've only been there once but it is an incredible place.

At least you're not in Michigan!

For us the first 6 months in a new place...most conversations are prefaced with "When we lived in (insert last base).

Maybe you'll make an awesome gal pal who makes missing Hawaii a little less painful.

Oh, and at first I thought this was about Gid's comeback.

Once someone mentions he should be removed from the top users list because he hasn't been here in a month...wa-la...he shows up.

Draginol: The natural beauty in Hawaii is just incredible. I feel so lucky to have been able to spend so much time there. It's hard adjusting to what Texas looks like though, haha.

Roy: LOL

Tova: I'm glad to know it's normal! It seems like when I talk to people it always ends up with something like that..."In Hawaii, we..."!

I am excited to get to know the city and the people who live her. LifeHappens lives here, and she completely rocks, so that is a big bonus!

Re: Gid. I sent him a private message since I was BL'ed. I don't wish him ill at all. I know a lot of people are angry...and he is hurt and angry as well, but I really just want things to go well for him and his wife and those babies.

Haha, and I might have been a little over dramatic with my title. I was just struck by how powerful the emotions and sense of longing was after seeing those photos. Texas and Hawaii are very different places.

Thanks, Sabrina. I love you SO much!

(I am guessing EOIC's post was by you since I don't see him as the sentimental hugging type, particularly after he offered to throw silver dollars at me, haha!)

I've never moved so far away that I couldn't go back and visit. I'm sure there's something beautiful in Texas besides you and your family. But, it's just not the same, I'm sure.

I agree about the kids.

I hope we get the ignore feature because every time I see his name I feel like I need a bath.

Jythier: Before we left Hawaii I was convinced we would never be able to go back and visit. I had a little rain cloud following me.

Now that we're here, I realize that we CAN go back. It won't be the same, but we can visit. It still hurts, but not as much as I thought it would...haha, until I looked at the pics my friend posted.

Tova: Understandable.
