Apparently slideshows are now "my thing"...
We have been having a lot of fun since Adrian came home. Everything has fallen back into place. Isabella loves her daddy and calls him "da-da" or "daddy" but I am still the favorite. Correction, my BOOBS are still the favorite.
Izzy now has one tooth out and three (!!!) more in the process of breaking through. She didn't wait for daddy on most of her first year milestones, but he WAS the first to feel a toothie!
Right now Adrian and Xavier are eating candy (thanks, Jeremy and Amanda!) and playing Guitar Hero. We were going to pick up 3 at midnight but none of the employees at any of the Wal-Marts I called had any idea if they would have them out at midnight. Argh.
Adrian made the cut-off for SSG and in a cool twist, his promotion takes effect on his birthday (Nov 1). SSGs are sexy! Haha. He won't have his pinning ceremony until after block leave, though. I'm not complaining. Since he had 2 back-to-back combat tours he gets 26 days of FREE leave. Starting today he is home for 30 days!!! He'll take some more leave for the holidays and then again in Jan/Feb when we PCS to Ft. Hood. It's exciting knowing he is going to have so much time at home. Maybe he will grow a disgusting beard. Haha.
It's great having him home. His companionship is top-notch. We laugh so much. Mostly because I'm a dork, but it's still great to laugh. And it's incredible to be thinking of household tasks that need to be done and go to do them only to discover they are mysteriously completed. He even helps with baby chores. He's not afraid of stinky diapers.
Today we went to the Scout Store to pick up some things we needed for the boys' uniforms and then we had lunch at Red Lobser...endless shrimp. What a fun day. Any day that involves endless shrimp is a good one in my book.
PS - If you have a subscription to Army Times look for Adrian under the SSG promotions! He's listed there, and his homecoming is covered in the little news blurb pages at the front of the paper.
