There's a slightly older boy in my sons' daycare on base that has a mohawk. When I saw him, I thought of you guys.

Hope you're having a great summer.

pseudo: That's neat. When the boys first got their mohawks it was pretty rare. Now tons of kids on base have mohawks. My oldest calls it a "little celebrity" on his head.

I am having a *great* summer. My stress level has gone waaaay down.

I hope yours is going well, too. Do you have your boys for the entire summer?

2 weeks down, 4 to go. My parents are coming out this week from VA. Busy week this week, but taking leave for 4/5 of next week. (Gotta burn up that use/lose leave.)

Glad to hear your back in God's Country Tex and that your stress level is down. There's just something about going home isn't there?

You guys look like you're having a blast. Glad to know you are back in the great state of Texas! Enjoy your family, and be sure and call if you'll be passing through. Love ya girl!

P.S. Your kiddos are precious!

pseudo: Awesome. I hope you guys have tons of fun and that it doesn't go too quickly.

Shovel: Last time I came home it was winter and the panhandle was uuuuuuugggleeeeee. This time it's really pretty and I'm getting to spend time with my brother and his wife who I haven't seen in years. It's great!

Jill: Thanks! I think we're going back tomorrow. It only goes to 5 feet so it's really great for the kids. It definitely helps with the humidity.

Tenille: I'm flying up to the panhandle at the end of this week. I will message you on Myspace and let you know where I will be when in case we might be near each other at some point this summer. I would definitely love to see you and we both have new family members to show off.

Welcome to the mainland! It looks like you're having a refreshing time.

And yay solid bananas! My girl is an oatmeal fiend. I've also offered her avocados in a mesh bag, but I guess she doesn't like them as much her daddy & I do. We gave her a peach in the mesh bag and she scarfed it down as much as babily possible...and we tried a banana in there once or twice too, but she didn't go for it much, I guess our timing was off. Maybe she wasn't hungry.

But yay, Texas is in Texas again. You'll have to alter your JU name for the summer. How would you say in Hawaiian, "A Texan in Texas"?

I can only begin to imagine the stresses you've been relieved from. You've been deserving this vacation for a long time.

Here's a tangent thought after reading through all the comments ...I have a cousin in Texas who has a daughter Tenille. It's a unique name, no? She's probably in her late teens now...I wonder if that would be lobsterhunter? After all, I've never even met my cousin's daughter. I have no idea what her life is like.

~edit~ ok never mind, I just read up on lobsterhunter, and her family description sounds quite a bit different from ours. In fact I want to cry after what I just read.

End of ramble. I got out of bed to take a much-needed shower, but here I am sucked into JU again!! I swear I'm getting off the comp now...
