My boys are very involved in Cub Scouts and are busy working toward earning badges (Bobcat for both, Tiger for Orian, and Bear for Xavier) and belt loops (Ultimate Frisbee and Map and Compass so far!).

We end up spending around 5-10 hours a week on scouting activities and scouting-related learning.  My kids have Scouting on the brain for sure.  (In fact, we can't make regular promises...we must make "Cub Scout" promises.)

So today Orian sticks a shiny silver Subway sticker on my chest (my boob, actually, but whatever) and informs me that I have earned the Subway badge FOR...

Spending so much time on the computer!

Ahahahahahahahahahaha.  How sad is that?  Perhaps I need to get a "real" hobby.

At least your not watching tv. At least on the internet you are interacting more than just sitting and watching tv.

hahahhahaha

Guess you can see I've had this conversation with myself a few times. Those are my justifications!

Of course I just ignore the part that reminds me there are other alternatives than watching tv, like mopping the kitchen floor, and taking a walk.

LOL

We did the scouts thing too. My husband was pack leader but had to be replaced half way through because of deploying. My oldest son kinda grew out of it though. I wonder it that happens a lot?

He'd rather be on his computer.

hahahahahha j/k...kinda.

I'd be covered in them, I'd look like disco ball.

I swear once I finish my assignments I'm taking a holiday from the internet.

Have you ever played "I love you more than?" with the boys?

Scene 1

The girls and I try to outdo each other by saying "I love you more than... chocolate cake." which is followed by some ohs and ahs.

And then it continues. "I love you more than rainbows."

'good one.'

"I love you more than the color green (which is a favorite color of my neice)."

'excellent!'

So I followed up with " I love you more than the Internet!" and they all agreed that mine rocked hardest. Ha.

The End.

That's really funny Nicky (oops, said the wrong name before!). !

Tex, you're not pathetic, never that. I understand though cause I'm guilty of doing that sometimes too! And my kids will remind me and take me eslewhere to do something. ONe thing we do though, we all fight for computer time!! I have to mediate and work out a schedule so everyone gets fair time!
