Perhaps I'm the only one who learned this, but...

Waaaay back when I learned a memorization song for the books of the Bible. I can't find it online, but the tune is still fermenting in my brain.

Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers, Dueteronomy, ??? (Joshua and Judges come next), and the story of Ruth, first and second Samuel and first and second Kings, first and second Chronicles which give us the records, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Ester the queen, (Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon) Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, (Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel), Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habukuh, Zephaniah, Haggia, Zechariah, Malachia (somewhere in there is the phrase "who were true to their God").

Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, Acts, and the letters to the Romans, 1st and 2nd Chorinthians, Galatians and Ephisians, Philipians, Colossians, (1st and 2nd Thessalonians) 1st and 2nd Timothy, Titus and Philemon, Hebrews, James, 1st and 2nd Peter, 1st and 2nd and 3rd John, Jude and Revelation.

Does anyone know this song? There's a lot of it I can't remember...I remember most of the books, but many of the the little mid-pieces I have forgotten.

(Funny little tidbit: As a child I wanted to name my first baby Thessalonica)

I've learned the books of the Old and New Testaments to 5 or 6 tunes along the way. Music is a great method of memorization!
