Yesterday Adrian shined up his black boots in preparation for work today. He spent a good amount of time on them, and when he was finished they were a perfect glossy black.

He was proud of his work, so he pulled on his black Army socks and laced his boots on and wore them around the house...with his khaki shorts and t-shirt.

Later we were all snuggled up on the couch watching Teen Titans and Adrian began playing around, saying, "Oh, baby...mmm...look at my boots...oh, yeah...look how shiny they are...mmmm...don't they look good?" I encouraged him with some "oohs" and "aaahhs." We play around like this all the time because we're silly like that.

My seven year old got a disturbed look on his face.

"What's wrong, baby?" I asked him.

"I can't say," he replied.

"Sure you can. What's on your mind?"

He frowned for a moment and then responded, "I know where this is leading..."

"What? What do you mean? What's leading where? Huh?"

Looking at the floor, he said, "I can't say."

I spent several minutes coaxing him into finishing out his thought.

In barely a whisper, he spelled out, "S - E - X"

Hahahhahhaa...now that's a savvy little seven year old. I laughed so hard while trying to explain that mommy and daddy were just joking about the boots, but that sex is ok and normal for mommies and daddies.

Poor kid.

Heh, the boots work for me (today he had on his full uniform with some cop-style sunglasses...mmmmm), but in the end we chose to finish up Teen Titans (very good episode, hehehe).

Oh man, that is incredibly funny. I think you've psychologically scarred him for life...perhaps you need some sound proofing in the bedroom, hehehe

Hehe, cute.

Poor kid will probably develop a boot fetish now...

what's scary is that I was thinking the same thing.  When he's a teen he'll probably go around saying "hey baby, want to shine my boots?"

Hahhahaha...well, if he's not scarred for life by age 7, we're not doing our jobs!

perhaps you need some sound proofing in the bedroom, hehehe

Ahhhh...hahhahahaha...well, we turn their cartoons/video games up pretty loud...hehehe...evidently not loud enough...

(hahaha...they know what it means when we hook them up with cartoons or video games downstairs and we go upstairs without them...hehe...they don't go upstairs unless someone is missing a limb or projectile vomiting, hahahaha)

Raven:
Hehe, cute.

Thanks! I thought so too...

Hehe...well, a boot fetish is preferable to a lot of other things!

Not that this is a bad thing, mind you!

Hahahhaha

I don't know where it originated, but around here, at least, there's a standard pick-up line that goes like this: "Nice boots... wanna f***?"

Not to say that it actually works very well, but it's a standard, anyway.

Kids are so much more aware that the kids of my generation {generation I forget} ummmmm does adrian stand real close to you so his feet encased in real shiny boots might catch a glimmer of ummm under yer skirt? inquiring minds wanna know, what was I talking about ?

Oooooh! I love that! I'm gonna use that one on Adrian when he gets home from work tomorrow (dammit, he's already changed out of them for today). Awesome...hehe

Hahahhaa...I'll bet it'll work...

That's sure the truth. Although I don't think it's neccesarily a bad thing...I'd much rather him associate sex with a healthy married relationship than with all the crap that the TV would like to feed him.

Hahhahahahaa...I don't think he'd thought of that one yet...very nice...

SHOW ME YER BOOTS, BABY!

Oh yeah! Hehehe...I'm a sucker for authority-type uniforms...'specially the boots...mmmm!
