I have a lot of pics to share from our recent trip to visit family in the Texas panhandle, but I'm too tired to re-size them all at this moment.  So this is what you get for now:

The bug is a bee, in case anyone can't tell, haha.

What fabulous news..Congratulations to you and your family.

on Jun 16, 2008

Great news Tex.  I'm happy for you.  Wouldn't it be nice to have another girl for Isabella to pal around with?

When are you due?

on Jun 17, 2008
Oh. My. Goodness. Tex. Congrats.
on Jun 17, 2008

Hey Brandie, Congrats! Hopefully you'll get another girl and well and balance out the genders a bit.

Seriously though, are you addicted to being pregnant or something?! Just kidding

Man, you step away from JU for a spell and before you know it new people are being created 'n' shit

Holy crap!  Congrats!  I guess you're a lot younger with a lot more energy than I.  I can't fathom being pregnant right now and keeping up with my crazy Ashley.

All the best to you and yours.  Here's hoping you don't feel sick like you did before.

Hey Tex, sorry for being so late to the game. There are so many articles now I don't always get to them fast, depending on the titles. Congrats, she is so adorable. My sister has 2 girls about 1 year apart and although they fight like most siblings do, they love each other to death and share everything (except boys of course, LOL, then again, I can't really prove that). I wouldn't mind having a little girl, though my current financial situation would make me a terrible father if I even tried. But look forward to it someday.

Tex! Sorry for being so late with the Congratulations!

That's amazing, but you'd better watch out, any more kids and people will think you're either Catholic or Mormon.

That's awesome, keep us updated.

or fundamentalist Christian. We had three families with seven in our last church. If that's the case, TW has three more to go after this one!!!

Bumping so I can reply to this from the forums and not have weird formatting issues.

SC, Maso, JJ, IB, FS, ParaTed, UdigIt, Kelly, GW: Thanks!!

LW: I think five is overkill!! Boob job sounds nice, though!!

Roy: LOL. I think that must be a Texas thing, because that's what some of my relatives said!

I was actually kind of expecting a lukewarm or even slightly negative reaction here, just because it seems like 2 kids is the norm, and anything beyond that (unless you are trying for one of the opposite sex) is just weird. LOL.

I don't want a huge family, but 4 kids is fine with me! I think it will be nice for Isabella to have a sibling close in age to her since the boys will be out of the house long before she will (I'm assuming...haha...I guess they could live with us forever...LOL).

Trina: Hey! Great to see you!!

Congrats on your new little one! I can't believe Elana is nearly 5! Crazy! Time really does pass so quickly.

I've got one turning 11 this month.

KFC: We are definitely hoping for a girl, but I have it in my head that it's a boy, so we'll see. It will be fun either way.

I haven't seen a doc yet (appts are backed up, so I will be in my 2nd tri by the time I see the doc for my first appt!!), but I *think* I'm due Jan 17th. Give or take a couple days.

My birthday is the 21st, and I think it's a real possibility that I could deliver this one on my birthday!

Toblerone: I've missed you!!

How is my daughter's future husband doing? I would love to see pics of him in toddlerhood!

I really would like to have another daughter, but I'm not counting on it, haha. I actually do enjoy being pregnant. Hate being sick, but having a baby growing inside me and delivering and meeting him or her is the most amazing thing.

Jill: Thanks!

Being pregnant with Isabella being a toddler isn't TOO bad (yet!), but having a newborn and a 2 year old may be INTERESTING. Haha. It will definitely be the most chaotic life I've ever experienced. I hope I can do it well. I do have worries.

I have been sick, but not as bad as with Izzy (thank goodness since I can't get a doc appt). It seems to already be subsiding so I'm hoping I'm about done with it!

Are you guys definitely done having children?

Charles: Thanks, I appreciate it.

I think having them close in age will be both wonderful and terrible, haha. They will have ready-made companions, but the fighting will probably be awful.

I told my boys today that I'm about to the point where I'm going to let them beat the crap out of each other and not say a word, condition being that they can't cry to me if they get hurt. LOL. They both liked the idea. Hahahahahahaha.

There is still plenty of time for you to expand your family if you and your wife want to...I don't think money is the most important thing in raising kids (although it helps). We certainly don't have a ton. The stress of making ends meet when it's really tight isn't great for the family, though!

Cedarbird: Thanks! LOL, maybe I will just say we're Mormon. I think for some people that would make it more "acceptable" since apparently you're only supposed to have 2 kids!

KFC: Gosh, 7!!

We are already stretching it trying to fit 6 people (2 in carseats) in our vehicle. We'd have to buy a school bus. LOL.

I do love the idea of just kids and laughter and toys everywhere. The logistics of a big family isn't all that appealing, or the expense, haha. Doesn't Christmas with a bunch of kids all excited around the tree sound so fabulous? Maybe fewer toys under the tree, but probably a lot more fun!!

No. Way.

Tex, imho you are one of the best moms on this site. Your children are very lucky to have you. In fact, I have two who would thrive under your gentle hand. (hint hint)

If women like you had more kids, the next generation would be one that was exulted instead of looked down upon by so much of society.

I am happy for your family and wish you the easiest, least sick, most amazing pregnancy!
on Jun 23, 2008
Thanks Tova. That means a lot! Really, one of the best compliments I can imagine. THANK YOU!!

And luckily, I have not been as sick this time. I had a rough few weeks, but still not as bad as with Izzy, and it seems to be subsiding now. Of course, then it makes me worry that there's something wrong since I'm not puking every few minutes. I will be happy when the first trimester is OVER!!

Glad you're over the sickness hump for the most part. That's the worst part I think...well that and the very last hour of pregnancy..lol.

As far as birthdays and having children on your birthday...my grandfather was born on July 3. He had a wife who was born on July 1st. They had two children. Each child was born on their birthdays...one on July 1st, the other on July 3rd. My grandfather's mother was born on July 4th. She died on July 4th. This same grandfather had a brother born on Christmas Day. He died years later on Christmas Day....bizarre.

No wonder my grandfather was so into birthdays.

Who knows maybe you'll have the first New Years Baby in your town...2009. If so, this new baby could get lots of attention. Caring for three kids can get things going a bit early.

Whatever I just hope you have a healthy happy baby or babies.......

No, no...2.5. Don't forget the half baby.
